Friday Weigh-In

Time to report your progress! Have you met with success this week?

  1. This week has been a disappointing one. I have exercised daily, eaten very healthly and yet the scales didn't budge even a little this week. Hopefully next week will be better!

  2. I lost a pound. I probably could've lost more but yesterday I attacked some rolls from TX Roadhouse that showed up in our shop. And I got sidetracked from zumba. But it was the finale of So You Think You Can Dance! And that's pretty important.

  3. Well, at least I didn't gain any more! I went to the Dr today and she gave me a cortisone shot in my shoulder and said it was OK to walk and swing my arms a little. I know I am bloated and holding water so I'll bet you all that I am going to have a successful week to report next Friday. Go girls (and Nathan). Remember....Nothing tastes as good as being fit feels.

  4. Hey Kathryn! I would venture to say that weight often seems to come off in chunks for me - as in, I'll go 10 days and not lose anything and then all of a sudden 2 or 3 pounds are gone in just a few days. I'm sure it was just one of those weeks for you and next week it will be more noticeable!

As for me - I did pretty good at not eating TOO many desserts, although 2 days I did have 2 desserts (bad!). I only worked out 3 days this week, but with a sick baby and being sick myself, I'm going to count that as a victory anyway...plus yesterday I worked out double the amount of time to make up for it.

This little group really helped. It kept me out of a lot of junk food and into a lot of working out! =) Thanks, ladies!

Oh, and the scale was all over the place for me - I assume it's because I'm breastfeeding? I'm fitting into more clothes, though, so that's a good sign.

  5. Uggggh...this week has been terrible as far as exercising goes! I keep choosing to clean over actually exercising. However, I have been doing a little better with my eating...until tonight that is :( I gained a pound and a half! I need something to motivate me and I need to take it a step at a time to not overdo it and then stop exercising again. Any advice or tricks I can try?

  6. Great Job Casey and Alicia! You all inspire us. Aunt Beck, I hope you shoulder feels a lot better and that you'll be able to get all the walking in that you want this week.

Sorry Carrie that things are so rough for you right now. But I think you just gave yourself some great advice - to just take it a step at a time.

I hope everyone will take the time in the next few weeks to share some ideas and things that work for you. I know it would help and motivate me and I so I know it will help others too!

  7. I actually lost 2 and a half pounds this week I just haven't had a computer to post anything. I was a little depressed over the glucose test I failed...but I did pass the 3hr glucose test. I just felt really sick the first hr and half that I was there. I'm sure by the 17th I'll of probably gained more than 2 and a half lbs.
